Obedient Ones

Consumed by purifying fire from the Holy Throne

And a warmth that does not consume

But carries tenderly in a stream of joy

Clearest crystal stream of our God’s goodness

Gentle shepherd who always leads

A flock of love that always follows;

The treasure of obedience is learned

Daily discovered in the fields of this life

Held closer, most precious for all

The honest seekers, humble disciples

Drawn by our Sovereign Father

Deeply rooted into the richest soil

Most fertile fields that burst forth,

Sowing good seed and harvesting in the same season

Harvesters ablaze with songs of worship,

Safety forever in His arms

Refuge now at His side

Divinely sustained by a wiling spirit.

*Our walk with the Lord is much like a sandwich eaten.  One slice of bread is perseverance, while the other slice is patient endurance.  In between is the real kingdom nutrition of meat or dairy or vegees with sauce or flavors.  Our bodies need food daily.  Our spirits moreso.  Don’t starve yourselves.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
