God’s love draws out the best in a man,

In a woman once tangled by thorny vines

Circumstances crowd all about with pitfalls

And endless other snares of this world;

Without the Most High’s grace and mercy

Each one of us, each generation caught in the base, common traps.

The kind hand of love from heaven lifts each soul the same

Impartial, whether male or female

Young, old, rich or poor,

A kind holy hand pulls from the muck and stench and refuse,

Filth both seen and unseen.

Every honest need honestly met

God of good comfort always ready

Father of burning compassion loves to show His love even  more

Slender golden arrows fly precisely from heaven’s Throne

Countless angels always busy

Involved in every detail of our needs,

A depth of care hardly imagined.

Then He rises, the Son of Man who led the final war charge,

Sharpest spearhead of eternal divine power thrust forth.

  * Lies and falsehoods of this world evaporate quickly.  Truth exposes the thin vapors to light and heat.  Creative truth that plants a good seed and causes it to grow in a precious human destined to bear good fruit visible through the shadows and fog or this temporary place.  Even you!

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
