He  Waits

As one disciplined, Spirit led

Who has learned true patience

Fruit grown from trial to common trial, Shepherd led

Tested and refined as precious metals,

He listened to his God and learned

The treasured value of life, all life

Rooted, hidden within a new, tender heart

A mind renewed, spirit made fresh in rebirth

New life, the world, the earth

Heaven above, the stars spread about as ancient signs portrayed

A spoken pageantry of creation from beginning to end;

The Voice from the Third Heaven calls his name, and he hears,

A Father for His son,

A Lord for his beloved servant.

A child of heaven walks this earth

One of the chosen, one of the many called from every nation and tongue,

Yes, one who has learned to wait

With power and authority at his fingertips

A life now compelled by holy love

Kept strong by divine peace, wisdom at rest within.

*Peace to all who light those special candles.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
