Lord, even as your zeal consumed you

Zeal for the House of your God, your Father,

Cause your love to compel us

Move us forward through the overflowing fields,

Passed the deceivers and all the endless weeds,

Our arms filled with stalks of ripened grain

Rich and full, beautiful cut grain

Harvest fit only for a King!

No effort witheld, everything spent

Songs and prayers as food

Oil of gladness on our faces,

Our zeal and joy moves forth

Clothed with garments of praise

Pressing on to the New Day

The place where the light of heaven shines with jewels of splendor

Without need of sun or moon,

The majestic light of all that is good

Even as lasting joy rises up within hearts and spirits,

The Light from your face our King

The light from Jerusalem’s holy temple;

Your land, your city, your true Jews.

What our hearts have yearned for

Now our eyes see

“In the land of the living”

In the land of our God.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
