Children walk through a great field

Expanse of wildflowers in explosive bloom

Yellows and blues and reds

Even orange and purple and scarlet,

Trees here and there budded out, sway in the gentle wind;

Two adult children in their own garden

For a moment, for eternity

Scent of eternal beauty rises tenderly

Comfort together, encouragement together

The thrill, the challenge, the adventures ahead,

Goodness along with daily troubles promised

Growth and endurance, hope throughout, character matured.

A narrow path of prayer is laid out

Paths certainly drawn together from above

Footsteps intermingled, sovereignly ordered

One righteous path together established.

In one, his hand stronger, more decisive

In one, her hand softer, more agile, more sensitive

One body out of two, miraculously joined delightfully,

One desire, to always love first

To honor the “Author of Life” first,

Bread and wine, purest food and drink

Sustains the will, their heavenly food.

Love carried in this peaceful wind

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
