Unknown treasures stored in Heaven

Mysteries wait to be discovered

Riches to be poured out

More than the eyes can see

More than the ears can now hear

Beyond the greatest human mind,

Understanding that soars far above

Pearl of great price out of natural reach;

Then, suddenly, a field opens up before you

It stretches out in common ground

Yet, somehow very different

Seen in the new light of a soul’s hunger,

The earth walked about with feet that search

In the world silent screams leaped from the throat

Cries of need piled upon need

The pain of a lost creature in Creation

Only guided blindly along the path of “self”

Until that path inevitably ends;

And then, the miraculous field of choice in front.

In brokenness the heart bows in humility on the earth

The soul rises up in this totally consuming search

All things hidden in plain sight!

Hands claw into the soil of choice

Life’s ultimate treasure, peace is found

With tears of sincerity

All is now spent, the field and new life’s treasure forever embraced.

The spirit of a man or woman

Rises up and takes its righteous place

By the finger of God,

And there is peace.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
