He stands tall, in quiet confidence,

Even in human shortcomings,

All stumble at times, many fall

Most get back up,

An invisible hand nudges, lifts and encourages

Continues to guide each along their unique path;

Love covers all our trangressions,

The love of God unfailing, unmoved.

What sadness when the one who falls  is blind to that hand

A kind hand that reaches out in preciseness,

One who truly understands more than all

Who clearly sees the end from the beginning,

Gentle One who spares no effort

Who literally moves heaven and earth

To set another upon the unshakeable Rock

High above this troubled world

At rest near the Shepherd’s Throne

At peace with the eternal King of Jerusalem.

Heavenly beauty unfolds true revelation,

Youthful beauty on earth but a dim reflection,

Like a passing impulsive fad,

While timeless strength and stability

Always stands nearby patiently waiting.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
