The enemy always deceives and attacks

Cruel desire to kill, burning desire to destroy,

Dark power moves upon a heart

Coils about a vulnerable human mind

Thoughts that cloud reason

Small seeds of doubt distract from understanding,

Disbelief in little things, common things

And the mind begins to wonder

And the mind begins to drift in the open sea of doubt,

A ship without rudder, sails or anchor

As winds blow, gentle at first;

Small questions about what is truly written

Small doubts about what was even heard

Discouragement about what can be seen-

Money that was to come

Family member who was to turn towards the Kingdom light

A physical affliction that holds on stubbornly,

And the doubts grow even more,

True light dims a little.

The narrow road widens just a bit

Someone attracts from the right

Something draws from the left

Footsteps begin to stumble

And one who walked clearly in the Spirit begins to fall.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
