When I first heard,

Those days when I walked in circles

Wandered about in foolish youth

Wasting most of my days

Wondering aimlessly about reality and meaning, intellectual existence;

When, suddenly I first heard a supernatural Voice

My spirit was literally touched!

A foreign, inactive place

Something not consciously ever used,

Inner, intuitive awareness once dormant.

But that Voice reverberated within

Somehow grabbed hold of my soul

Shook loose my present reality

Lifted my mind suddenly to a new clear place

An unknown place without any limits

Touch of truest reality, touch from heaven.

In my weak human condition

An excited state of being now gripped

A stronger presence, a greater force

A type of freedom, a new separation

And I knew in my awakened spirit

That my God was real,

Jesus was indeed the Heavenly King, Ruler of all creation

Messiah the door of all truth and peace,

And I reached out with everything I had,

And took hold of mercy.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.

Hi there! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be okay. I’m definitely enjoying your blog and look
    forward to new posts.

    • Elida,
I’m a little slow and resistant to tech., though in my youth I went
through an engineering program. I do appreciate your interest in what I put out
as a form of personal encouragement. And I thank you for your fine work.

  2. Gary,
Thank you for following that apparent God-nudge, by leaving me copies of your work yesterday. I was leaving home to face a very difficult situation when I saw the papers. I read the first one, Little Bird, as my car warmed up. Your words and imagery were a direct answer to my prayers, and the inspiration carried me through the day…a day filled with divine-intervention and grace. May you find yourself blessed beyond all reason today and always!
