They test the Lord of Heaven

Brash, bold and foolish at heart

Ignorance parades about

The market crowd even jostles the Holy One as He passes by;

Then, one woman reaches out, touches in reverent fear

And divine creative power flows out,

Healing meets her desperate need

And tears of sincere love flow as well.

How many times do we sit and watch actors on television

Or at a theatre

And one speaks the Name above every name

As cheap slander, as profanity

In anger a curse word!

Shame comes over the moment for me;

To sit quietly among so many others and watch the world go by

The exaggerated figures in entertainment,

Without any Spirit sense

Without any clue of the impact of such mockery.

The world, the America we now live in

“As the wicked strut about in evil

And what is vile is honored among men.”

People pretend as Christians,

Even the highest leaders who bear bad fruit,

Encourage the greed of the greedy

The selfishness of the selfish

The sin of the sinful,

Deceivers who deceive themselves,

Done openly in the face of the Sovereign Lord

Who stands at the end of divine patience.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
