I count to ten

Again and again

Up and down,

Forwards and backwards

Sounds and animals and colors and fruit

Numbers and letters in a row

Soon, I will really know!

Letters into words,

Words in a row

To teach me, I know

Numbers like in a parade

To juggle things, I know

One, the blink of one eye

Two, the blink of both

Zero, a plus

One, a minus

Flip-flop, flop-flip

Swirl around the little chip,

A computer for what I already do?

I’d rather draw than have to count

I’d rather play than do ABC’s,

Hide and seek

Build a new road in the sand

Jump and climb

Run and kick a ball.

Okay, one more time-

Apple, ape, apple

Bug, banana, bug

Camel, car, camel

Dog, dig…”Hey, stop it little brother;

Leave my stuff alone!”

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
