Love’s gentle call as the coo of a dove carried on distant winds

Tender nudge of the human heart

Stroke of kindness and comfort on the mind

Merciful touch to wipe away tears

Soothing voice, powerful voice,

Thrilling, penetrating, most wonderful voice,

Overcomes the nature of flesh now prostrate before Him,

Lifts up the spirit to stand true.

Honesty looks openly within at unworthiness,

But our God makes possible what is impossible;

To soar boldly, freely above this place

Without any fear, and greed or hatred

To glide with silver wings of peace

Eyes that see very far, very clear

Ears that hear the Voice of Mystery speak

A mouth that tastes “Bread from Heaven”

Eternal Manna that never spoils or fades

An abundance always offered

Freely given, matching every stream of love

Gushing over every offering in prayer

Flowing as a ruby red river of fire

A white glow now upon each sacrifice of body, soul and spirit,

Incense rises before the marvelous Throne

Mixed in the purest smoke of thanksgiving,

Holy love pure and jealous, covers those who are forever His own.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
