Good seeds planted in the fields of contentment

Many things rest in the past

Thoughts of what could have been

Yearning and longing,

People, places and circumstances

All seen in hindsight now through the faithfull eyes of true love;

“But now is the time of God’s favor”!

The blessings would still have been poured out

Choices honored in righteousness,

But divine contingencies

People met

Seeds planted and watered

Lives affected, hearts drawn upwards

Glimpses given of what is beyond,

Encouragement of multitudes multiplied along this only honest path,

Would have fallen short;

The heavenly kingdom at a loss

The King without all the honor due Him.

Joy does rule this day with no second thoughts

Gratitude meets gladness with a kiss of Spirit truth;

All that could have been

Has become

People, precious lives, destined blessing, gift of eternal life,

Sips of sacred water for ones who thirst

Pieces of rich, dark whole grain bread for ones who hunger,

Today rests satisfied in this life given.

Then, there’s Israel, and the Temple Mount

And their divine destiny in the face of all the world’s hatred!

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
