The voice of peace within

What the treasures of this world cannot buy,

Just as money can’t buy true love.

Pure threads of silver and gold

What human hands have not woven

Most beautiful linens embroidered

To cover the innocent nakedness

Artful curves of roundness,

Lines of muscles stretched;

The human form to be made new

To be covered by righteousness

In reflections of glory, intimate secrets made known.

The calming Voice that speaks all out of nothing,

Even the One who desires Jerusalem above all

Zion of beauty, in perfection to rise high above the Earth;

The humble voice of a Lamb, deafening roar of a Lion,

Spirit of our Messiah desires the human spirit

In the covenant of His love

To indwell, to commune

To share and speak freely

As a young child upon the lap,

Or strong hand upon a youthful shoulder,

Eyes that counsel, penetrate welcoming eyes.

As we seek refuge and comfort in His temple of Majesty

He longs to bring His peace and rest to our own spirit-temple

To sing most beautiful songs of shared love within

Echoed by open souls

Free open hearts, open fully to Him.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
