The heart yearns

“Oh, that I would be yours

And you would be mine,

An unbroken covenant of love.”

As each day gives birth

Light of Heaven glows a little brighter,

Truth of Messiah Yeshua runs a little deeper

Comfort of the Holy Spirit holds a little closer;

The many struggles of the world

Clashes of human nature, life without true love,

Even weaker than before.

Godly perseverance has taught well

Wrapped endurance about the shoulders

Made the heaviness much, much lighter

Joy of salvation walks one step closer,

Hand in hand with the Savior,

Eyes begin to see more clearly His way

The money world and its many lies fade even more so

As Divine trust covers all costs with new protected wealth.

The crystal river of peace flows through the soul,

Through the Cross, throughout eternity,

More and more precious.

Priceless jewels of New Jerusalem’s foundations of Twelve Named Apostles,

Twelve Tribes of Israel dominant, engraved above the gates of entry

In continuity before the creation of the world.

God’s mercy of life to one commonly lost, spiritually dead as others,

New gift of a sound mind, unshakeable hope of life

Glimpses of the future in heaven’s wisdom

Pure love of His Spirit reveals each golden purpose

All to a once lonely man or woman

A life now destined for heaven on earth

Eyes that will see Israel’s King in His beauty

Most Royal Seal, mark of the High Priest of life

Carried upon the forehead in constant delight,

Honor and inheritance of every son and every daughter the same,

His and her face both glow even now

With the ripened fruit of this wonderful expectation.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
