ANOTHER WOMAN AT THE WELL

ANOTHER  WOMAN  AT  THE  WELL

Boundless compassion of the Spirit of the Lord at work,

Love compels in Heaven’s mercy

Love compels the tender reach of truth,

As another woman crosses His path

At a park, at work, the beach, on the street, a marketplace, a restaurant,

Beautiful as another jewel, work of an Artist;

With quiet prayers and gentle words, with a caring touch to the heart

A kind pull on the mind,

Eyes look sincerely into eyes

Bright windows that draw

The sweetness of the light of Holy Fire in Heaven’s truth offered,

Penetrates deeply into the soul, even into the spirit.

Honest hands seek to lift up, to build up

To pour out some oil of lasting comfort,

A sharp sword to challenge with precision

Goodness freely held out,

A righteous caress

And a pure kiss of truth on the heart,

Words spoken clearly, graciously

A drink of  living water held out

In the careful embrace of a stranger

Who no longer is one.

Eyes can see a little more of the end from the beginning

In her new life slowly unfolding.

About Gary Bertnick

I was a Minnesota teenager in the late 1960's. I was drafted into the military after an intense time at an engineering school. As a graduate chemical engineer and former athlete, I became a Marine Corps private. The Lord spoke to me through a friend while visiting Rapid City,S.D. My true discipleship began in Southern California and was boosted through association with Morris Cerullo Ministry and others. I fed upon the Scriptures and have learned to be led by the Holy Spirit. I know what the fear of the Lord is. What I write is done to honor the Lord and to touch the lives of those who know Him as well as those who should.
